Edna Lee Poe, 95, of Russellville, Ark., passed away, Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at Baptist Health Medical Center in Conway, Ark. The daughter of Roy and Lucy Smith Bunton, she was born March 23, 1922 in Culpepper Mountain, Ark. She was an accomplished seamstress and business owner of Edna's Alterations for 30 years, loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. Edna moved to Arizona in 1952 for health reasons and returned to Russellville in 1985 after retirement from E.L. Gruber Company in Glendale, Arizona. She was a member of the Russellville First Assembly of God. She enjoyed quilting, gardening, cooking, canning and bird watching. She was preceded in death by her husband Charlie Poe; her parents; a daughter, Carol Riley; three grandchildren, Randy, Danny, and Cindy; three sisters and a brother. Edna is survived by two sons, Eddie (Rita) Poe of Russellville; Kenneth Poe of Green Valley, Ariz.; a daughter, Ruby Beesley (Alva) of Beggs, Okla.; 15 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; 24 great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Raymond Bunton of Gun Barrel, Texas; a sister, Reba Zayjac of Windon, Ari.; and other relatives and friends. The family wishes to express a special thanks to Lorain Owen for all of her love and care. Funeral Service will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, June 24, 2017 at Humphrey Chapel. Rev. Jim Sanders and Janice Sizemore will officiate. Burial will be at Rest Haven Memorial Park in Russellville by Humphrey Funeral Service. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., on Saturday, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to American Humane Society, www.americanhumane.org.
