Winnie Lee Weaver

Winnie Lee Weaver passed away on June 28th, 2017 in Little Rock, Arkansas surrounded by her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was born September 13th, 1924 to Lillian and Eric Smith and was raised in Maynard, Arkansas. She married William Weaver, her high school sweetheart, on June 23rd, 1946, and they enjoyed 71 beautiful years of marriage together. She and her husband ran a medical clinic in Eudora, Arkansas for many years before retiring in Lake Village, Arkansas. She then spent her time doting on her grandchildren and husband. She loved to cook for her family and spoke often about how proud she was of her grandchildren, who were equally fond of their Nana. She was a member of the Eudora Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, Dr. William J. Weaver; children Jackie (Rusty) Nelson and Michael (Rebecca) Weaver; five grandchildren, Eric (Jessica) Nelson, Natalie (Jerry) Burr, Molly Weaver, Selena Nelson, and Jackson Weaver; great-granddaughter, Elissa Nelson; and sister, Shirley (Paul) Spencer. She is preceded in death by her parents and her daughter, Debra Weaver. Visitation will be at 9 a.m. and Funeral will take place at 10 a.m. on July 1st at The Eudora Baptist Church. Burial will take place in Maynard, Arkansas at a later date. Memorials may be made to Children's Homes, Inc. in Paragould, Ark.
