Howard Franklin Aldriedge "Poppy" of Bryant, Arkansas joined his heavenly family on February 26, 2017. He was born to the late, Robert Harvey and Ruth Aldriedge in Gainesville, Texas on October 4, 1938. He was a fun-loving man who never took life too seriously. He loved making those around him laugh. He had a strong relationship with the Lord and a deep love for his grandchildren. He spent 49 years working tirelessly for American National Insurance Company of Galveston, Texas to support his family. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Tommy. He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Dana Aldriedge; five children, Sammy (Pam) Aldriedge of Granbury, Texas, Melanie Dedert of Tampa, Fla., Kevin (Pam) Tipton of Kennedale, Texas, Lee (Jennifer) Aldriedge of St. Joe, Texas and Chris (Heather) Tipton of Benton, Ark.; 13 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters in-law, Lavetta (Tink) Rakes and Michael (Cathy) Hayes; and several nieces and nephews who love and will miss him dearly. A celebration of Howard's life will be held on Thursday, March 2, 2017 at 12 noon at Dial and Dudley Funeral Home. Visitation will be Wednesday, March 1, 2017 from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
