Metta W. Pope

Metta W. Pope, 84, of Benton passed away Sunday, February 26, 2017 at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock. She was born August 28, 1932 in Mitchell, Ark. to the late Kenneth and Alta Stephens Hartin. She worked for Alcoa in sales and was a member of Holland Chapel Missionary Baptist Church. She was also preceded in death by her husband, John "JP" Pope and son, Kenny Wilson. Survivors include her daughter, Kathy Ramsey (Gary) of Sherwood; daughter-in-law, Marilyn Wilson of Greenbrier; three grandchildren, Sarah Jerry (Jarrod) of Greenbrier, Kyle Wilson (Rachel) of Conway, and Michelle Rogers (Kenny) of Sherwood, six great-grandchildren, Brady Jerry, Brooklyn (JoJo) Jerry, Braxton Jerry, Parker Wilson, Luke Wilson, and Brantley Rogers, and cousin, George Hartin (Norma). Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, March 3, 2017 in the chapel of Roller-Ballard Funeral Home (315-4047) with Chris Ramsey officiating. Interment will follow in Pinecrest Memorial Park in Alexander. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday evening, March 2nd at the funeral home.
