Calvin R. Walraven

Calvin R. Walraven died on February 19, 2017. He was born on February 29,1940 to the late Chester and Theola Walraven in Fenton, Michigan.He was retired from the U.S. Air Force after serving 20 years. He was of the Methodist faith. He was President of Parents without Partners prior to marrying Jan, and was a member of the Vietnam Veterans Motorcycle Club, also a member of the Bass Fishing Club of Central Arkansas. He loved his family and serving his country very much. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one son, Calvin Walraven and two grandsons, Colby Brockinton and Denis Newman. Mr. Walraven is survived by his wife, Jan Owens, daughters, Terri (Tim) Erickson of Cabot, Ark., Julie (Todd) Moory and Brandi (Jim) Hutsell both of Sherwood, Ark., Amy (Tom) Kovarovic of Bossier City, La., and Christy Graham of North Little Rock, Ark. Also two brothers, Ronal (Joyce) Walraven of Tennessee and Louis Walraven of Florida, three sisters, Luetta (Carl) Burdick and Nadine (Frank) Wolcott both of Michigan and Louise (Glenn) Hoffman of Florida, brother-in-law, Randy (Debbie) Owens. Ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. A Graveside Service will be held on March 10, 2017 at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in Sherwood, AR. with full military honors at 11 a.m. Visitation will be from 12-1:30 p.m. with a Memorial Service at 1:30 p.m. both at the First United Methodist Church of North Little Rock, Ark.
