Faye Pate Sneed Hunnicutt went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, March 6, 2017. Born in Conway, Arkansas on Mitchell Street on October 27, 1921 to the late John W. Sneed Sr. and Clarkie Pate Sneed. She was married to the love of her life Joe H. Hunnicutt for 46 years until his death in 1991. She is preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband, brothers Dr. John W. Sneed, Jr., Dr. Albert Sneed, and sister Winnie Sneed. She is survived by her son Hal Hunnicutt (Judy), grandson, Rusty Hunnicutt, two granddaughters, Rachel Hunnicutt and Rhonda Bradley (Cameron), three beautiful great-granddaughters, Anneliese, Amber and Alexis Bradley, and a precious great-grandson, Joey Hunnicutt, all of Conway, and a host of nieces and nephews, and friends. Mrs. Hunnicutt was a member of Four Winds Church, Arkansas Retired Teachers Association, Chapter E of PEO Sisterhood, a Friday Bridge Club, and also once served as President of Conway Civic League. Mrs. Hunnicutt graduated from Clinton High School in 1939 as Valedictorian of her class. She graduated from ASTC with a BSE in English in 1943. In 1949 she spent a year in graduate school at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville. She taught Business classes and English at Clinton High school, 3rd & 4th grades at Liberty School in Vilonia, Business & English at Mayflower High School, and then retired after 11 years of teaching journalism at Conway High School. After retiring, she worked for eight years with her husband at their business, Trade Arts Co. in Little Rock. Mrs. Hunnicutt loved music, especially Big Band. She played piano for Top Hatters dance band for three years while in college in which they received $3 a piece for three hours playing for clubs, etc. Sometimes they would pass the hat and pay them each another dollar to play an extra hour. She played the piano up until the last month of her life. Mrs. Hunnicutt was a very kind, generous, and giving woman. She was always giving to different charities and foundations. She loved her family with all that she had and always loved being with any one of them at any time. Most of all she loved her Lord, Jesus Christ. Visitation will be at Roller McNutt Funeral Home Wednesday evening from 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be Thursday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Joe White, Buddy Blair, Bruce Hendricks, David Whittenburg, Bob Barham, Rusty Hunnicutt, Leo Crafton, Hal Crafton, and Mike Reynolds.
