David "Larry" Dye, 71, of Conway went to be with the Lord Wednesday March 8, 2017. He was born Sept. 18, 1945 in Wichita, Kan., to David Victor and Violet Dye. Growing up he worked with his father on the family business and farming. After graduation from Wichita State University in Kansas he attended Army OCS and graduated as a second Lieutenant. He worked for 30 plus years as a Sr. Executive Management for Unilever and was the Family Business man. He was Head Deacon at Forrest Park Baptist Church in Michigan. He was man of God who loved his family and church. He was a faithful friend, hard worker, and he loved to listen to his grandson and son-in-law sing and play guitar. Larry was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, who especially loved spending time with his grandchildren. He was so proud to watch games while Cheyenne cheered. He enjoyed sailboats, golf, and great movies. Larry will be missed by everyone who knew him and forever be in our heart. He is survived by his wife of 52 years Pamela, son, David Allen Dye of Wichita, Kan.; daughter, Kimberly "Kai" (Robert Dean) Barton of Vilonia; grandchildren, Kenny Michael Medlin and Cheyenne Rose Barton both of Vilonia; one brother, John William Dye of Wichita, Kan.; and many more family and friends. David is preceded in death by his parents, and son John Larry Dye. Visitation will be Sunday March 12, 2017 from 4-6 p.m. at Roller McNutt Funeral Home in Conway. Funeral Service will be Monday March 13th at 10 a.m. at Roller McNutt with Burial following at Oliver Cemetery in Mt. Vernon.
