Dorothy Edwin Murphy

Dorothy Edwin Murphy, of Hot Springs, passed away March 7, 2017. She was born Oct. 5, 1929 in Little Rock the daughter of Dr. E. O. Day and Dorothy Elizabeth Day. She was preceded in death by her parents and one son Jim Murphy and her husband Dr. James E. Murphy. Better known to all of her friends as Dot, she started the Marion Anderson women's luncheon group. She was an avid sports fan and she loved watching the razorbacks and her favorite pro golfer, Phil Mickelson. Dot loved to entertain and cook for all of her friends on the lake. Dot is survived by her son, Mike Murphy of Hot Springs and a host of wonderful friends. Graveside services will be Tuesday March 14, 2017 at Roselawn Memorial Park in Little Rock.
