Samuel Dale "Sam" Jeffery of Rogers passed away March 9, 2017. He was born Aug. 11, 1965 in Rogers, Ark. He was the son of Dr. David E. Jeffery Sr. and Faye Foll Jeffery, both of Rogers. To say Sam lived an adventurous life is an understatement. Daily, he taught those around him to enjoy every moment. His world was filled with friends, laughter, and hilarious stories. Riding his bike, working in the yard, and spending time in his back yard made him so incredibly happy. Being a native of Rogers and a graduate of Rogers High School, made him particularly proud. He attended the University of Arkansas and was a member of the Sigma Chi Fraternity. He earned a Bachelors Degree from The University of the Ozarks, a Masters Degree from St. Mary's University, and was a member of The United States Army. With great pride, Sam served on the City Council of Rogers. Sam worked for Rolling Oaks Hospitality and was the General Manager of La Quinta Inn and Suites, of Bentonville. He was a member of Central United Methodist Church, in Rogers. He is survived by his wife Marie Newcome Jeffery and their fur babies, Harry Winston and Zuzu Simone. He is also survived by his mother Faye Jeffery, his father Dr. David Jeffery Sr. and wife Faye, his brother Dr. David Jeffery Jr. and wife Joy, all of Rogers, his sister Cyndi Jeffery-Sinclair and husband Scott and nephew Xander Sinclair, of Memphis, his mother and father-in-law Marilyn and Joel Newcome of Portland, Ark., and sister-in-law, Rebecca Newcome of Fayetteville. There will be a celebration of Sam's life at Central United Methodist Church, in Rogers, at 10 a.m. on Monday, March 13. Reverend Carness Vaughan and Reverend Dawn Spragg will officiate. The family will receive friends at the home on Sunday, from 4-6. In lieu of flowers, a memorial contribution may be made to the Teen Action Support Center, 2525 West New Hope, Rogers, Ark. 72756, or the City of Rogers -301 W. Chestnut Rogers, A\rk. 72756.
