Clara B. Montgomery

Clara B. Montgomery, 97, of Greenbrier passed away Friday, March 17, 2017. She was born March 24, 1919 in Greenbrier, Ark., to the late Charles and Maggie Ward Acre. Clara was also preceded in death by her husband of over 60 years, Dalton S. Montgomery, brothers, Cecil, Evans, and Frank Acre, sisters, Betty Hammel, Molly Reynolds, and Marcello Phillips. Clara was a longtime member of the Guy Church of Church of Christ and employed at Ploy-Vend in Conway until her retirement. She enjoyed gardening and cooking, especially for her family and friends. Most of all Clara loved children and enjoyed babysitting, especially for her family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Clara is survived by her sister, Rose Lea Stacks, nephew, Roy Montgomery and a host of other nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at noon Monday March 20 with funeral services following at 1 p.m. at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home, Greenbrier, with Bobby Acre officiating. Burial will follow at Copperas Springs Cemetery in Guy. Serving as pallbearers will be Russell, Paul, Austin, Glendon, and Justin Acre, and Ronnie Mobbs. Honorary pallbearer will be Charlie Dyson.
