Carolyn Jo Wedge

Carolyn Jo Wedge, 69, of Cabot died Saturday, March 18, 2017. She was born April 7, 1947 in Little Rock to the late Wilton T. and Iwanda Mayo Reems Smith. Mrs. Wedge was of the Pentecostal faith and was a homemaker. She loved to cook and cooked for nursing homes at various points throughout her life. She also enjoyed flower gardening and reading. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Wedge was preceded in death by a son, Phillip Wedge; brothers, Wayne and Walter Smith; sisters, Monette McKee and Naomi Houser; sister-in-law, Jean Smith and her first husband, Floyd Webb. Mrs. Wedge is survived by her husband, Everett Wedge; sons, Daniel Wedge, Jimmy Webb, Nathan Wedge, Boyd Wedge (Julie) and Robert Wedge; daughters, Marilyn Cox (Tim), Jennifer Wilson (Tony), Mary Horn, Vicky Wallace, Tina Wedge and Kathy Wedge; brothers, John Smith (Donna) and George Smith; sister, Patricia Johnson (Harold); 22 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and her roommate, Kay Carter. The family would like to say "thank you" to the staff of Cabot Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, especially Ken Crowder and Summer Rios. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Alexander. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Monday at Moore's Cabot Funeral Home (501)843-5816.
