Opal Arvine Senger, 90, of Jacksonville, Arkansas, passed away Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at her home. Opal was born in Louisiana to Lloyd and Clara (Streeter) Ward. She was a homemaker and also worked at McAdam's Florist for years arranging flowers. Opal was a very dedicated member of New Life Church in Cabot. She loved to garden and sew, and spent most of her time taking care of her family and anyone else who needed her help. She was always one who placed others above herself. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph B. Senger; her parents; a brother, Paul Ward; and two sisters, Mae Evelyn Tippy and Nellie Tippy. Opal leaves her brother, Kenneth Ward of Hobbs, New Mexico; and several nieces and a special nephew, John Ward, who took care of her for 13 years and was treated like her son. Funeral services will be held Friday, March 24th at 10 a.m. in the Cobb Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Larry Gimintch officiating. Burial will follow in Bassett Cemetery.
