St. Clair (Sinky) Hultsman

St. Clair (Sinky) Hultsman passed away Jan. 22, 2017 in New Orleans after a lengthy illness. He had moved there, after 55 years in Colorado Springs, to be with his step-daughter Melissa St. Clair. He was born June 6, 1934 in Little Rock to Edith )Himstedt) and St. Clair Hultsman Sr. After his father's death in 1936 his mother in 1938 married H. P. Crawford, who became a significant parental figure for him. Sinky graduated in 1952 from Little Rock Catholic High School for Boys. He recieved his BS in Physics from Tulane University in 1956. He continued his Masters and PhD studies at Tulane. After three years of active duty in the US Airforce at Peterson Air Force Base, he continued his service as a reserve Airforce Officer achieving the rank of full Folonel. In civilian life he worked at North American Aerospace Defense in Colorado Springs, Colo., for 40 years until his retirement. He is survived by his former wife Cynthia (Cindy) Hayes and his step-daughter Melissa St. Clair. His family includes his sister Peyton Bishop and her children, Christie Karcher, Bruce (Carri) Bishop, and Kathryn (Giles) Stanley. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Saturday April 1, 2017 at Christ the Kinf Catholic Church with the internment following at Calvary Cemetery. The family will be at Peyton Bishop's home after the services. In Liu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Centers for Youth and Families; P.O.
