Beverly C. Cook

BEVERLY C. COOK of Maumelle formally from Texarkana, Ark., went home to be with the Lord on April 29, 2017. She was surrounded by her loving family and friends. She was born on Feb. 20, 1931 in Shreveport, La., to Mida and James Coleman. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters; and her loving husband, Reverend Roy V. Cook of 45 years whom she served alongside in the ministry. She is survived by her children, Reverend Roy Cook Jr. (Leta Karen) of Albany, Ga., Karen Cook of Maumelle, Tim Cook (Jeannie) of Romance, Mark Cook of Brick, N.J., Jenifer Johnson (Tommy) of Maumelle and Greg Cook (Krista) of Monroe, N.C.; 10 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was known as Mama Cook, Granny and Nanny to a multitude of people. Beverly was a servant to all who knew her. She loved the Lord and was willing to serve whomever He chose to put in her path. She lived the Christian faith in every area of her life. In lieu of flowers you may make donations to The Baptist Preparatory School, 62 Pleasant Valley Dr., Little Rock, Ark. 72212 or to your local church or a mission of your choice. Visitation will be held prior to services starting at 10 a.m. with services beginning at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 4 at Little Rock Funeral Home with Reverend Roy Cook Jr. Burial will follow at Riverwood Memorial Gardens in Maumelle.
