Jason Rolett 41, of Helena, Arkansas passed away Monday, May 1, 2017 after an extended illness. He was born September 9, 1975 in Little Rock, Arkansas to Ronald and Rhonda (Harrell) Rolett. Jason was CEO of the Boys and Girls Club of Phillips County and a former Club Kid, the son of former Boys & Girls Club CEO Ron Rolett, nephew of the Arkansas State Alliance Board Chair and former national youth of the year, Dan Rolett. Boys & Girls Clubs were always a part of his life, and Jason turned a passion for making a difference into a career by moving to West Helena, Arkansas to lead the Phillips County Club. Jason was a Club member in North Little Rock and Carlsbad, NM. Jason attended Texas Tech in Lubbock, Texas where he went to work for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Lubbock. During his 10 years in Lubbock, Jason served in multiple roles including that of Unit Director. Jason left the Club in Lubbock to take a position with the Boys & Girls Club of Carlsbad, N.M. In 2005, Jason moved to West Helena, Arkansas to become the CEO of a newly chartered Club. Since 2006, Jason worked tirelessly to bring the community together creating a state of the art Club in West Helena and chartering a second Unit in 2016 in Helena. Jason also oversaw a large project to renovate property adjacent to the Club as ball fields, providing outdoor space for the full community to use. Jason mentored many young adults through Keystone Clubs, and saw five of his teen members become state Youth of the Year winners in Arkansas and New Mexico. Jason leaves behind his parents, Ron and Rhonda Rolett of Mayflower, Arkansas; a sister, Leah Rolett of College Station, Texas; and a son, Jeremiah Rolett of Helena, Arkansas; grandmother, Wilma Rolett of Maumelle, Arkansas; aunts, uncles, cousins, lots of close friends and co-workers. Please keep his family in your thoughts and prayers. We should all celebrate his life and legacy as he celebrated his passion for our collective mission….hope and opportunity for all children. Funeral Service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, May 6, 2017 at First Baptist Church of Mayflower with Brother David Fox officiating. Interment will follow in Mayflower Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to service. In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be made to the Boys and Girls Club of Phillips County P.O.
