Polly Love Alexander

Polly Love Alexander, 94, died May 6, 2017. She was born January 25, 1923 in Heber Springs, AR to Harry Nathan and Rhoda Lee Love. Polly owned and operated the Mallard Restaurant and Fireplace Steakhouse in Stuttgart for many years before she retired.  She was a member of First Baptist Church in Stuttgart. Polly called Stuttgart home for 53 years before moving to Gillett to be closer to her daughter. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Earl Wilson Alexander Jr. and Jerry Wayne Alexander; five brothers and four sisters. She is survived by her children and their spouses David Alexander (Charla) of Hagarstown, Md., and Norma Holzhauer (Alvin) of Gillett, five grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Visitation will be 1-2 p.m. Wednesday, May 10 at First Baptist Church in Stuttgart with funeral services beginning at 2 p.m. Burial will follow in Lone Tree Cemetery by Essex Funeral Home.
