Jo Ann Keeton, age 70, of Fayetteville died Sunday, May 14, 2017 after a brave battle with cancer. She was born June 8, 1946 in Warren, Arkansas. Jo Ann was preceded in death by her father, Joe Miller, mother and step-father, Beryl and Hubert Drake of Kingsland, and her grandparents, Jim and Lela Mitchell and Julius and Mary Russell. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Charles Wayne Keeton of Fayetteville; two daughters and sons-in-law, Jennifer and David McGill of Fayetteville and Rebecca and Keith Wilbern of Springdale; three grandchildren Keeton and Mitchell Wilbern of Springdale and Sarah Qureshi of Fayetteville; and half-brother Bert Drake of Maumelle. Jo Ann owned and operated Keeton Company Real Estate in Fordyce for 30 years before retiring full time to Hot Springs in 2002. As a realtor, Jo Ann enjoyed welcoming new residents to Fordyce and helping them find their perfect home. She served on the Water and Soil Conservation Board and was active with the Women's Business and Professional group and Rotary prior to her retirement. After retirement, Jo Ann enjoyed gardening, fishing, porch sitting and most of all spending time with her grandchildren. In 2016, Wayne and Jo Ann moved to Fayetteville to be closer to their children and grandchildren. Going fishing with her grandsons and having tea parties with her granddaughter became some of her favorite past times. Every holiday was made special by her baking and elaborate decorations. Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 16th, from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. at Benton Funeral Home in Fordyce, Arkansas. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Benton Funeral Home.
