Bob Trager

Robert "Bob" Miller Trager, 80, of Bella Vista, entered fully into the presence of his Lord and Savior on Sunday, May 21, 2017 at Circle of Life Hospice House in Legacy Village. He was born August 28, 1936, the son of Eleanor Renner and Charles Pete Trager, and lived 80 beautiful years. As a young man, he began his military service in the Army National Guard, and continued his service as a member of the American Legion Post #341, in Bella Vista, where he proudly served with the Honor Guard. He was employed with Ford Motor Company for over 35 years. His passions included cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs, supporting them over 40 years, including as former President of the Red Coat Organization. He was passionate about ALL things Pitt State, an active alumnus, and a devout Sigma Tau Gamma member. He loved spending quality time with his family, especially with his nine grandchildren, including them in hiking, fishing, ping-pong, and kettle fires. Robert is survived by: one son; Clifford Trager and his wife Alice, of Parkville, Missouri, two daughters; Kimberly Gill and her husband Ward, of Rogers, Cyndie Jacks, of Bella Vista, one sister; Marla Daniel and her husband Gary, of Blue Eye, Missouri, two stepdaughters, Lori Knowles, of Portland, Oregon and Holly Knowles, of Vancouver, Washington, nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Thursday from 1-2 p.m. in the sanctuary of First United Methodist Church in downtown Rogers. A gathering of family and friends to celebrate Bob's Life will begin at 2 p.m., with Rev. Michael Mattox and Rev. Sandra Wanasek officiating. A graveside service will be held Friday at 11 a.m. in the Oaklawn Cemetery located on Black Bob Road in Olathe, Kansas.
