Joe Roy Farley

Joe Roy Farley, 97, a lifelong resident and farmer of Rogers, passed away Saturday, May 20. He was born August 24, 1919 in Rogers to the late Glenn Harlan Farley and Ethel Oden Farley. Joe was a joy to all who knew him, always kind and soft spoken. He was a gentle, hard-working man who knew a lot more about giving to others than accepting assistance from others. For more than 73 years, he was the loving husband of Pauline Farley who he treasured more than life itself and preceded him in 2012. In addition to his parents and wife, he was also preceded by his sister, Phyllis Ocheltree; his brother, Harlan Farley and a grandson, Shane Farley. Survivors include his son, Larry Farley (Shawna) of Owasso, Oklahoma; two grandsons, Ryan Farley (Bekki) of Denver, Colorado and Nash Farley of Owasso; a granddaughter in-law, Jennifer Farley of Owasso; six great-grandchildren; extended family and dear friends. A graveside funeral service will be at 2 p.m., Friday at Benton County Memorial Park. Arrangements are under the care of Rollins Funeral Home in Rogers. www.RollinsFuneral.com.
