Ray Gene Sams

Ray Gene Sams, age 69, of Fayetteville passed away Tuesday November 7, 2017. He was born August 22, 1948 in Fayetteville to Howard and Bertha Young Sams. Ray is a member of Christian Life Cathedral in Fayetteville. He was preceded in death by his father Howard Sams and brother, Danny Sams. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Nila Riley Sams; one daughter, Melanie Lindgren and her husband James of Fayetteville; mother, Bertha Hayes of Springdale; two sisters, Margaret Hattabaugh of West Fork, Arkansas and Mary Hayes of Sherman, Texas; three brothers, Rocky Hayes of Hogeye, Arkansas, Howard Hayes of Harrison, Arkansas, Billy Hayes of Fayetteville and one granddaughter, Meagan Lindgren. Visitation will be 5 p.m.–7 p.m. Friday, November 10, 2017 in the chapel at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home in Fayetteville.
