Frances Chastain

Frances Chastain, 73, of Little Rock, formerly of McGehee, Ark. died Thursday, November 16, 2017. She was born in Dermott, Ark. a daughter of the late James and Catherine McNeese Chastain. She was a graduate of McGehee High School and the University of Arkansas at Monticello School of Nursing. She was a registered nurse and worked at St. Vincent's Infirmary in Little Rock for thirty three years. Frances was a member of Pulaski Heights United Methodist Church. She loved to read and travel. She also loved spending time with family and friends, especially her nieces and nephews. Survivors include her sisters Mildred Miles of Dumas and Susie (Reece) Parham of Fayetteville, Ark.; brother, Walter (Daphne) Chastain of Springdale, Ark.; nieces, Thea Capps of Star City, Ark. and Tiffany Smith of Springdale, Ark.; nephews Bryant Chastain of Boliver, Mo., Adam Parham of Fayetteville, Ark. and Hunter Parham of Durango, Colo. Visitation will be 2-3 pm Sunday, November 19, 2017 at Griffin-Culpepper Funeral Service in McGehee, Ark. Funeral services will follow at 3 pm at the funeral home chapel with burial at McGehee cemetery.
