Charles Daniel "Danny" Bunton, age 71, of Russellville, entered his Heavenly home on Nov. 17, 2017, surrounded by his loving family at Legacy Heights Nursing Home in Russellville. He was born March 15, 1946, in Russellville, to the late Edward Bunton and Gladys Adell Bunton Lee. Danny attended the Arkansas Children's Colony (now the Conway Human Development Center), in Conway, where he met his wife, Nancy. They were married Oct. 10, 1987, and recently celebrated 30 years together. He was employed at the Marva Workshop for 40 years. He loved working there and enjoyed the friendships made over the years. It was more than just a job, it was a family to him. Danny was a faithful member of the First Assembly of God in Russellville until his health failed. He was a resident of Legacy Heights Nursing Home for three years. A special thanks to the nursing staff for their compassionate care. Also, thank you to Bro. Bud Avants for his faithful ministry to Danny and Nancy over the years and to the many others who took them under their wings and made sure they had a way to church, revivals, singings and wherever they needed to go. The family appreciates each one of you. Danny never met a stranger and knew most everyone in Russellville where he and Nancy lived. He had a love for attending church and often visited different churches when he was able. He also loved hanging out at the PDQ. He is preceded in death by his parents; his grandparents, Charlie & Maybelle Bunton and Lyman & Stella Adell; siblings, Samuel Bunton and Eugene Bunton; nephew, Stanley Cline and mother-in-law, Jimmie Sharp. He is survived by his wife, of 30 years, and light of his life, Nancy Bunton; sister, Shirley & Johnny Cline of Russellville, aunt, Lucille Hicks, nieces and nephews, Robert & Ryan Cline of Tonopah, Nevada, Jamie & Jonathan Cline, Charlie Cline, Quinton & Stephen Cline of Russellville and Brittney Granados of Alaska and cousin, Robert Yeager. He is also survived by his father-in-law, Milford Sharp; sisters-in-law, Martha & Terry Bull and Judy & Bobby Hammons, all of Perry; nieces and nephews, Brad, Rachel, Lexie & Olivia Bull, Stephanie & James Risner & Gunner Rhoads, Chelsey Bull, Krystal Hammons & Chloe and Drake Anderson, Mark, Casey & Annabelle Rucker and Charlie Hammons. He also leaves behind a host of extended family and friends. Funeral will be at Humphrey Funeral Service Chapel in Russellville on Monday, Nov. 20, 2017, at 1 p.m., with burial following at McGhee Cemetery, located 3 miles west of Perry on Hwy 10. There is no public visitation, but friends may see Danny at the funeral home and sign the family guest book.
