Roger William Barrows of Berryville, Arkansas born July 27, 1925 in Medicine Lodge, Kansas, son of Burt T. and Bessie A. (Warrington) Barrows. He departed this life Sunday, November 19, 2017, in Berryville at the age of 92 years. Roger proudly served his country in the United States Marines during World War II. He was a member of the Moore Free Will Baptist Church in Berryville. Roger worked as a rural mail carrier and farmer and was a member of the Berryville School Board for over 20 years. He is survived by his sons, Terry R. Barrows and wife, Cyndi of Nixa Missouri; Richard W. (Rick) Barrows and wife, Eileen, of Springdale, Arkansas; Kevin L. Barrows and wife, Jill of Berryville; seven grandchildren, Scott, Sean, Brian and Kirk Barrows, Michelle King, Lindsey Madden, and Lane Crosno; seven great-grandchildren; several step-grandchildren; step-great-grandchildren; and many other relatives, friends and loved ones. On August 9, 1946, he was united in marriage to Altha Rhea (McKinney) Barrows, who preceded him in death on November 28, 2016. He is also preceded in death by his parents Burt and Bessie Barrows; two sisters, Ada Yearly and Susan N. Hunnell. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m., Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at the Charles M. Nelson Memorial Chapel in Berryville. Funeral service will be 11 a.m., Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at the Moore Free Will Baptist Church, Berryville, Arkansas with Pastor Bradley Clark and Reverend Doug Harris officiating. Interment will follow at Moore Cemetery under the direction of Nelson Funeral Service.
