Geneva Sue Whitlow

Geneva Sue Pilcher Ballard Whitlow, 77, of Cabot died Friday, November 24, 2017. She was born October 19, 1940 in Tuckerman to the late Charles Woodrow and Ruth Lawrence Pilcher. Mrs. Whitlow grew up picking cotton in Jackson County and was a 1958 graduate of Tuckerman High School. She spent her life serving as an educator with the Pulaski County Special School District. She was a league bowler at Allfam Bowling Center and enjoyed associating with other retired teachers from Cato Elementary School. She took great pride in her family, especially her grandchildren; never missing an event. Mrs. Whitlow was also known for her green thumb. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Whitlow was preceded in death by her first husband of 52 years, Sonny Ballard, brother, Jerry Pilcher and step-son, Troy Ballard. Mrs. Whitlow is survived by her husband, William N. Whitlow of Cabot, son, Phillip Ballard (Shasta) of Cabot, Step-children; Jerry Ballard (Carol) of Castle Rock, Colorado, Teresa Kissell (Jimmy) of Water Valley, Mississippi, Todd Whitlow of Crosby, Texas, Terri Rivers (Harold) of Alvin, Texas and Trent Whitlow of Arizona, grandchildren; Cydney, Lauren, LillyAnna and Lindley Ballard, brothers; Richard "Dickie" Pilcher (Martha) and Randy Pilcher, 12 step-grandchildren and eight step-great-grandchildren.
