Shelby Jean Mansur

SHELBY JEAN MANSUR, a long-time resident of Little Rock, died Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2017, at home with loved ones around her. Born on March 9, 1937, in Floyd, Ark., Shelby was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved the outdoors as long as she had her husband and her beloved animals with her. She could go anywhere and do anything and she did. Her green thumb was something to aspire to and her country cooking was wonderful. She will be missed by all that knew her. She was preceded in death by her parents William and Mollie Johnson, two brothers, Murl Johnson, L.J. Johnson and two sisters Ruth Baker and Hazel Taylor. She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Charles Mansur, four daughters, Sonja Langley, Deborah DePaul (Jim), Letty Walsh, JoAnn Novak (Milan); and one son Granger Allison (Shelia); 11 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, one sister Catherine Jones, and her aunt Maedean Miller. She is also survived by her best friend of more than 50 years Jean Brock. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2017, at 11 a.m. at Pine Crest Memorial Park, 7401 Ark. Hwy 5 in Alexander. Visitation will be at the cemetery at 10 a.m. before the service.
