Alyssa Ann Burke

Alyssa Ann Burke, 49, born March 10, 1968 in Little Rock, Ark. was called home by our Lord and Savior on September 20, 2017. Alyssa is survived by her husband, Stephen H. Burke, Lewisville; son, Chase Allen Green (21) University of Arkansas, sons, Brandon Robert Burke (16), Conner Rhode Burke (15), and daughter, Ashlyn Kay Burke (5) of Lewisville; her mother, Lynn Causey of Maumelle, Ark., sister, Daria Aldridge and husband Art Aldridge, Maumelle, sister, Vicki Steadman, North Little Rock, Ark.; nieces, Natalie, Alyvia, Alyson and nephew Aaron who adored their Aunt. Alyssa was preceded in death by her father, Rhode Blanchard Causey. Alyssa graduated in 1986 from Northeast High School in North Little Rock with honors. In addition, Alyssa earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Central Arkansas and an MBA from Louisiana Tech University. Alyssa received her license to teach elementary school and her first teaching job was at King Elementary in Little Elm, Texas. Alyssa became a certified dyslexia instruction and worked with dyslexic students in several schools. Alyssa carried the ALTA designation of Certified Academic Language Therapist. A memorial service is planned for 11 a.m. on Saturday, October 7, 2017, at Park Hill Christian Church, 4400 John F. Kennedy Boulevard, North Little Rock, Ark.
