DELBERT DEWAINE TRUAN of Mabelvale, was called home to heaven on Oct. 5, 2017. He was born Dec. 13, 1934 in Gorham, Ellis County, Kan. He is preceded in death by his parents, Gilbert and Elizabeth (Kippes) Truan, and a sister, Betty Truan Wallace. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Bettie Rosell Truan, daughters: Debbie Susky (Lee), Rebecca Walton and Heather Truan; grandchildren: HD Walton, Jennifer Susky, Andrew Susky, Revel Walton, Rachael Walton, and four great-grandchildren. He is also survived by sisters: Norma Savage, Jeanine Truan, Janice Stoppel (Melvin) and one brother, Ray Truan (Roxie), as well as three sisters-in-law and several nephews and nieces. Delbert served in the United States Air Force from 1954-1958. He was a member of the adult choir at Geyer Springs Baptist Church and served in the Children's Choir ministry. He loved to hunt, fish, garden and spent many hours in his workshop working on many types of projects. He lived his life fully taking wonderful care of others, including his family, extended family and friends. Funeral will be 1 p.m., Monday, Oct. 9, 2017, at Roller-Drummond Funeral Home Chapel, 10900 I-30, Little Rock, Ark. (501- 455-5800). Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Sunday, at the funeral home. Interment will be at Pinecrest Memorial Park following the service. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, Tenn., 38105.
