Vinita "Vinnie" Yvette Donnor, age 58, of Benton passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Friday, Oct. 6, 2017 at Saline Memorial Hospice House in Bryant, Ark. Vinnie was born in Little Rock, on Nov. 14, 1958, a daughter of James E. "Ed" and Ruth Chism. Vinnie leaves behind her high school sweetheart and husband of 40 years, Bill Donnor,;a son McKinley Donnor of Shanghai, China; a daughter, Keeley Donnor Selby and a son-in-law, Chase Selby of Benton, Ark. Along with her husband and two children, she is survived by her sister and brothers and their spouses: Tanya and Marc Shelnut, Greg and Mary Chism, and Dennis Chism and fiancée, Tina Escarre, all of Benton, Ark. She also leaves her cherished nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews. Vinnie is also survived by her sweet friend and co-worker, Jean Parham. Vinnie was a 1977 graduate of Benton High School. After completing business school, she went to work for UPS, where she retired after 35 years of service. Vinnie was a member of Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church. After battling with cancer for 20 years, Vinnie may have lost her battle but with that loss, she won the ultimate victory of walking in Heaven with Jesus. The family would like to thank Drs. Mendelsohn and Hagans and their wonderful staff of nurses as well as the team at Carti. Vinnie had such an exceptional group of caregivers at these organizations and the family will forever be grateful to them. Visitation with be held Monday, Oct. 9, 2017 from 6-8 p.m., at Ashby Funeral Home. The memorial will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 10, 2017 at 10 a.m., at Ashby Funeral Home in Benton, Ark. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Saline Memorial Hospice House in Bryant, Ark. Family will be at Greg and Mary Chism's house.
