Patsy M. Strickland

Patsy Merlene Wages Strickland, 68, of Vilonia, Arkansas, formerly of North Little Rock and Hot Springs, went to be with the Lord on October 7, 2017. A daughter of the late M.E. and Marie Wages, she was born on May 30, 1949, in Monahans, Texas. Patsy was a retired bookkeeper from the Arkansas State Land Commission. She fought a hard battle with Alzheimer's Disease, but is now healed and doing what she liked most, dancing in the streets of heaven. In addition to her parents, Patsy was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Delle Summers of Rogers, Arkansas and her brother, David Woodall of Hot Springs, Arkansas. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Tracy and Steve Gafner of Vilonia, Arkansas, her grand-daughter, Mattison Gafner of Vilonia, Arkansas, her sisters, Margaret Crowson of Midland, Texas, Linda Ann York of Dallas, Texas and Dorothy Gladden of Houston, Texas, two brothers, Odys Woodall, of Ira, Texas and Jimmy Wages of Las Vegas, Nevada, and a host of nieces and nephews that she loved dearly. The family would like to thank, the staff in the Memory Unit at Valley Ranch Nursing and Rehab Center in Little Rock, Arkansas for their dedication and care they gave Miss Patsy during her final days.
