Vina Treat Mayall

Vina Treat Mayall, 80, peacefully ended her earthly journey on Oct. 13, 2017 at Baptist Health Medical Center in Stuttgart, Ark. Over the last two years, she faced numerous health issues with grace, dignity, and unbelievable strength. She is survived by her husband, of 61 years, J.C. Mayall; her two daughters: Terry (David) Simpson and Connie (Gary) Hudson, all of Stuttgart. She was Mimi to the loves of her life, her three grandchildren: Cara (Brad) Coleman of Mtn. Home, Drew (Lauren) Jacobs of Stuttgart, and Patrick Hudson of Fayetteville; and her four great-grandchildren: Whitten Coleman, Ford Coleman, Mason Jacobs, and Jacie Ann Jacobs. Vina was born on Dec. 16, 1936 in Yelleville, Ark. She was the only child born to Melvin and Mabel Treat. She was a 1954 graduate of Clinton High School. Throughout the years, she continued to stay in contact with her high school girlfriends. They had a special place in her heart. In 1956 she married her sweetheart and love of her life. They moved their family to Stuttgart in 1967. Vina, an experienced abstractor, worked for Mrs. Lillian C. Young. She also worked for Shields Horst Realty and Arkansas County Title Company, where she retired in 2004. She will be remembered for her thoughtful consideration of others, kindness, and loyalty to her family and friends. She took great pride in everything she did. Her attention to detail, research skills, and kindness to others were her strengths. She loved her family, which brought the greatest joy in her life. She was devoted in caring for her parents, her mother-in-law, and her husband when they were ill. She would light up when her grands and great grands were around. She dearly loved her aunts, uncles, and cousins. Until her health declined, she attended annual family reunions and embraced those special times with family. She was an inspiration to all who knew her and devoted to her family. She was the rock and foundation of her family and her legacy of love and faith will live on through them. Her family at First Christian Church strengthened her faith and allowed her to practice it in her own quiet way. Her friends in her Sunday School Class and CWF were her buddies with whom she shared many special moments of love and laughter. The family wishes to thank Dr. Chris Morgan, Stacy Reeves, Amanda White, Annie Hatch, the nurses and staff at Baptist Health Medical Center, and Michelle with Arkansas Hospice for their exceptional care and compassion. Visitation will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 16, 2017 in the fellowship hall of First Christian Church, 10th & Main, in Stuttgart, with the Celebration of Life at 11 a.m. Graveside services will be at 4 p.m. at Clinton Cemetery in Clinton, Ark.
