Katherine Louise Lacy

Katherine Louise Lacy, 82, of Greenland passed away Saturday, October 28, 2017 in Fayetteville. She was born February 11, 1935 in Fayetteville to Woodrow and Pearl Gray Wood. She married James E. Lacy on October 29, 1951. He preceded her in death of August 2009. Katherine babysat in her home for many years. She then went to work for the Fayetteville School System as a cook at Root Elementary and then at Happy Hollow Elementary School. Katherine retired in 2001. She was a member of the Baldwin Church of Christ for 66 years. She is survived by her children, Carolyn Meadows and husband, Lonnie of Fayetteville, Ark., Stan Lacy and wife, Theresa of Aurora, Colo. and Robin Watson and husband, Jeff of Huntsville, Ark.; grandchildren, Heather Cheevers and husband, Craig of Greenland, Ark., Tiffany DeLuisi and husband, Mike of Thornton, Colo., Nathan Lacy of Denver, Colo., Nichole Lacy and husband, Dylan Steffenauer of Westminster, Colo., Ty Watson and wife, Melissa of Lowell, Ark. and Ryan Watson and fiance', Sara Gower, both of Wichita, Kan.; great-grandchildren, Walker, Kate and Calvin Cheevers of Greenland, Ark.; Anderson and Cameron DeLuisi of Thornton, Colo. and Lewis, Jacob and Ezekiel Steffenauer of Westminster, Colo. Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Thursday, November 2, 2017 at the Baldwin Church of Christ with Ministers Bobby Dockery and Jeff Watson officiating. Interment will follow in Hester Cemetery under the direction of Beard's Chapel. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at the funeral home.
