Louise Helen Sanford

Louise Helen Sanford, 75, died Saturday, Sept. 2, 2017 at the Unity Health. She was born Jan. 7, 1942 in Bradford to the late J.A. and Bertha (Crossman) Morgan. She was a member of the Friendship Missionary Baptist Church and was an avid reader. Louise was loved and cherished and thought of as a mother to many. She is survived by her son, Kenneth Sanford and wife Pat of Bradford; daughter, Laura Counts and husband Mike of Searcy; five grandchildren, Bradley Sanford (Meredith), Rachel Richardson, Denise Jones (Josh), Luke Counts and Michael Counts Jr. (Kyli); seven great-grandchildren, Braelynne Jones, Maddox, Evelynn and Olivia Counts, Blake and Brantly Jones and Micah Counts. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 56 years, John Verlan Sanford; six brothers; and two sisters. Visitation will be Monday from 6-8 p.m. Services will be conducted 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2017 at the Powell Funeral Home Chapel-Bald Knob. Interment will follow in Hickmon Cemetery.
