Shirley Jackson Bean

Shirley Jackson Bean, age 79, of Plumerville, Arkansas went to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 3, 2017. She was born February 6, 1938 in Morrilton, Arkansas to Cecil Jackson and Minnie Kimberlin Jackson. She retired from South Conway County School District. She was a graduate of Morrilton High School and a member of Plumerville First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles "String" Bean, her parents and her sisters, Pauline Cupp, Clara Moore and Mary Sue Pettus. She is survived by her daughter, Debbie Brown and husband Bruce of Russellville; two sons, Derrick Bean and wife Andrea of Plumerville and David Bean of Atlanta, Georgia; five grandchildren, Austin Brown of Russellville, Forrest Bean of Charleston, South Carolina, Taylor Brown of Russellville, Whitney Bean of Plumerville and Lindsey Bean of Plumerville; brother-in-law, Danny Bean of Morrilton; sisters-in-law, Colleen Fields of Plumerville and Deloyte Bean of Morrilton; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, September 7, at Harris Chapel with Dr. Bill Brown officiating. Burial will be at Plummerville Cemetery by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Plumerville First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 91, Plumerville, Arkansas 72127.
