Dorothy Worsham Bailey

Dorothy Worsham Bailey, 99, died on the 13th day of September, 2017. She was the widow of Lloyd H. Bailey. Her parents were Elbert and Laura Worsham of Centerville, Arkansas. She was a retired school teacher, a member of the Lonoke First United Methodist Church, a past president of the Lonoke United Methodist Women, a member of the Little Rock Centennial Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, a life member of the Arkansas Congress of Parents and Teachers, a life member of the Arkansas Education Association, and a life member of the National Education Association. She served the community as a Girl Scout Leader and a Cub Scout Den Mother. She worked many ways in aiding the development of children. Preceding her in death were her husband; her daughter, Henryetta Harris of Rogers, Arkansas. She is survived by one son, Joel (Jane) Bailey of Lonoke, and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Thursday, September 14th from 5-7 pm, Funeral services will be on Friday, September 15th at 10 a.m. with Reverend Aubrietta Jones presiding at Boyd Funeral Home Chapel, Lonoke.
