George L. Green

George L. Green, 89, of East End, Arkansas, went to be with the Lord, Thursday, September 14, 2017. He was a long-time member of Life Line Baptist Church and more recently a member at Bingham Road Baptist Church, and was retired from the Arkansas Air National Guard. In 2015, he received his 25-year Gold Card for service with IATSE Local 204 and Little Rock Stage Group He loved to watch and mentor his grandchildren and great grandchildren as well as enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening and supplying fresh vegetables to all the neighbors. He is preceded in death by his wife, Norma Jean; his parents, Tom and Annie Green; two brothers: Frankie and Thomas Earl; three sisters: Carrie Ann, Anna Lee and Mary Etta. Survivors are one son, Thomas (Debbie); a daughter, Carol Massery (David); five grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, one brother, Herschel Green (Mary), other relatives and a host of friends. A Memorial Service will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, September 18, 2017 at Bingham Road Baptist Church. Burial will be at 2 p.m., Monday at the McGhee Cemetery, Perry, Arkansas. For those unable to attend the services, there will be a visitation at the family home in East End from 2-5 p.m. Sunday, September 17.
