Tommie Geraldine Burton

Tommie Geraldine Burton, age 79, of Springdale, went to be with the Lord, Sept. 15, 2017. She was born June 6, 1938, the daughter of Tommy and Alma Bowman Reynolds, in Madison County, Ark. She was co-owner of Burton Cemetery Service until retirement. She enjoyed fishing and camping and loved being with her family. She was of the Baptist faith and a member of Grace Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Jim Burton, of the home; three sons: Jerry Burton (Mary), Ric Burton (Cathy), and Dwayne Burton (Dawn); two daughters: Brenda Terry (Mark) and Judy Hellum (Jeffrey); three brothers: Carmen Carson (Wanda), Clarence Carson (Margaret) and Floyd Reynolds (Rita) two sisters: Evel Pianalto (Leonard) and Juanita Nichols; eighteen grandchildren; twenty-three great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be Wednesday, Sept. 20, 2017 at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Memorial Funeral Home, 3926 Willowood Ave., Springdale, Ark., 72762 with Bob Mayes officiating. Burial will follow in Elm Springs Cemetery, Elm Springs, Arkansas. Pallbearers will be Tim Traxler, Luke Burton, Brandon Burton, Richard Burton, Caleb Grubbs and Matthew Burton. Honorary Pallbearers will be Mitchel Traxler, Andrew Traxler, Adrian Traxler, Jadon Key, Jacob Key and Shawn Burton. Visitation will be Tuesday, Sept. 19, 2017 from 4-6 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home.
