Carol Elizabeth Ables

Carol Elizabeth Ables, 67, of Tulip died Saturday, Sept. 16, 2017 at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock, Ark. She was born July 28, 1950 in Atlanta, Ga. She was a member and treasurer of Carthage Baptist Church in Carthage. She is preceded in death by her father, William Frederick Durham; son, Brick Ables; brother, Bill Durham; and mother-in-law Alice Matthews. She is survived by her husband Jay Ables of Tulip; mother, Ouida Murray of McDonough, Ga.; one son, Jordan (Hope) Ables of Tulip; one daughter, Jayce (Jesse) Patch of Memphis, Tenn.; one brother, Ed (Brenda) Durham of Conyers, Ga.; father-in-law, Bo Matthews of Tulip; one daughter-in-law, Jenny (Mike) Lanier of Lono; sister-in-law, Nancy Durham of Lawrenceville, Ga.; one niece, Christy Bankieris of McDonough, Ga.; two great-nephews, Brighton and Cohen Bankieris of McDonough, Ga.; and seven grandchildren. Visitation will be Tuesday, Sept. 19, 2017, 9-10 a.m., at Carthage Baptist Church with memorial services beginning at 10 a.m., with Rev. Will Wallace and Rev. Phil Matthews officiating.
