William Ellis Roseberry, age 99, of Magnolia, Arkansas passed away Wednesday, September 27, 2017. He was born in Malvern, Ark. on September 23, 1918 to Talmage and Josie Wilson Roseberry. After Malvern High School he moved to Little Rock and enlisted in the Army Air Corps as part of the 154th Weather Reconnaissance Squadron. He served in North Africa and Italy for 3 and one half years in the photographic unit. He was awarded a Purple Heart and a Bronze Star for modifying cameras to improve the clarity of weather photographs to be used for bomber missions. William graduated from Rochester Institute of Technology and was owner of Quick Serve Vending Company in Little Rock. After retiring in 1980, he enjoyed fly fishing on the Little Red River, spending time with family, and traveling. William was a lifelong United Methodist and a loving husband, father, and friend. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings Jack Roseberry, Anna Lou Kriigel, Lillian Walters, and Madge Rea. William was also preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Thelma Harrington Roseberry; son, William Clinton Roseberry; wife, Mary Evelyn O'Neal Roseberry; and a special cousin, John Blundell. Survivors include his daughter, Jan Roseberry Alford (David); daughter-in-law, Nicole Polier; grandchildren, Brian Alford (Margo), Julie Routon (Stephen), Sarah Hardin (Barlo), Ben Roseberry (Sarah), and Alison Roseberry-Polier; great-grandchildren, James and Ellie Alford, Reed and Will Routon, and Bo Hardin; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation is Friday, September 29, 2017 from 6-7 p.m. at Griffin Leggett Healey and Roth, 5800 W. 12th, Little Rock, Ark. Graveside service will be at 9 a.m. Saturday, September 30, 2017 at Roselawn Memorial Park, 2801 Asher Avenue, Little Rock. Memorial service will follow at 10:30 a.m. at St. Luke United Methodist Church, 6401 West 32nd, Little Rock. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Heifer International or Stewpot at First United Methodist Church, 320 West Main, Magnolia, Ark.
