Linda M. Bates

LINDA M. BATES, 83, of North Little Rock, died April 5, 2018. Born October 20, 1934 in Lonoke County, Arkansas, she was the daughter of Clarence and Pauline Phillips. Linda will be loved, missed, and cherished, known better as "Ganmoo". Preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Chester Bates; parents (Clarence and Pauline), and biological father (Leabert Wilson) whom passed when Linda was 9 months old; daughter, Annette Bates; two sisters, Alice Tarantino and Betty Jo Foster. Linda is survived by her daughter, Deborah Goodnight of Scott, Arkansas; two sons, Gene Bates of Scott and Phillip Bates of North Little Rock; two sisters, Francis Frazier of Illinois, and Elza McClannahan of Arkansas; one brother, Jim Ed Phillips of New Jersey; grandchildren, Brad (Shelley), Lea, Jessica (Todd), Jeff, Misty, Heather, Katelyn, and Matthew; great-grandchildren, Bailey, Kaebra, Macey, Seth, Camron, Madison, Rylie, Cheyenne, and Tucker. Memorial services will be at 10:00am, Monday, April 5, 2018 at Rose City Church of the Nazarene, 4611 Lynch Drive, North Little Rock, AR 72117.
