Constance L. Vermeulen

Constance L. Vermeulen, 81, of Urbandale, formerly of Rogers, Ark., passed away April 5, 2018. Graveside service will be held at 12 p.m. Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at Resthaven Cemetery in West Des Moines, Iowa. She was born September 3, 1936 in Montclair, N.J., to Donald V. and Mary L. Holt. Connie will be greatly missed by her family and many friends in both Rogers, Ark., where she and Mo enjoyed 18 years of retired life and in Urbandale, Iowa, where she resided the past two years with Janelle and John. She is survived by her children Steven Vermeulen (Melody) of Cary, N.C.; Janelle Ballard (John), Urbandale, Iowa; and Brenda Cole, Des Moines, Iowa. Also surviving are five grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Connie was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Morris (Mo) C. Vermeulen and her daughter, Kerry Lee Kreider. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The American Heart Association.
