Lorraine "Lorrie" M. Bengtson

Lorraine "Lorrie" M. Bengtson, 90, of Bella Vista, Ark., passed away Tuesday, April 3, 2018, at Mercy Hospital in Rogers. She was born July 14, 1927, to Ragnar and Norma Morberg. She lived a long and happy life beginning with her childhood in Waukegan, Ill.; raising her family in Orland Park, Ill., and retiring with her husband to Bella Vista in 1984. Lorrie was an active mom sharing her athletic skills with her children and their friends playing softball, swimming or an intense game of ping pong. In her retirement, she enjoyed golfing in Bella Vista, traveling in the USA and Europe, and volunteering with Bella Vista's local hospice organization and a literacy non-profit. A beloved grandmother, she was a frequent visitor to California for the holidays and throughout the year, and a great host for annual summer adventures in Bella Vista. She is preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Ted Bengtson. Left to cherish her memories are her family in California: son Randahl Bengtson; daughter Cynthia Bengtson Budzyn; son-in-law Michael Budzyn; and two granddaughters, Alexis Budzyn and Dana Budzyn; and her beloved dog Muffin. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, April 20, at Abundant Life Ministries, Bella Vista. Arrangements are by Bella Vista Funeral Home & Crematory.
