Edward Oscar Rutledge

EDWARD OSCAR RUTLEDGE, age 84, of North Little Rock, Ark., passed away April 11, 2018. Edward was preceded in death by his parents, David Oscar Rutledge and Mary Cornelia McGhee Rutledge and siblings. He is survived by his wife Donna of 62 years. They were married in Hawaii on July 2, 1955. Also survived by son, Travis (Kelli); a daughter, Tracy (Rich); three grandchildren, Alexander Paul Rutledge, Richard Glenn Lee, Jr. and Trenton Edward Lee. In 1952, Edward played football for Little Rock High (Wilson Tigers). He joined the Army in 1955. He retired from the Army Corps of Engineers in 1988 after 32 years. He was an avid cyclist and loved riding his bike everywhere. He was loved by all. Edward was a man of character and virtue. Visitation will be Saturday, April 14, at 9 a.m. with services at 10 a.m. at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills. Interment will follow at Rest Hills Memorial Park.
