Louise Pruitt Withers, 81, of Fountain Hill, died Saturday, April 14, 2018. Mrs. Withers was a native of Ashley County, a resident of Fountain Hill for past 37 years and a former resident of Tuckerman. She graduated as Validictorian of the Fountain Hill High School class of 1954 and was a member of the Fountain Hill First Baptist Church. Louise and Bobby were inseperable from the 8th grade. She was a young homemaker busy with cooking, sewing, canning and caring for four stairstep children, while her husband worked shift work. She was a pure soul, contented with her life and her family. In their later life, Bobby spoiled her rotten. She learned to hunt and talk to the fish that she caught. She loved to sit in the dark, drinking her coffee and waiting for the sunrise. Her sweet spirit will be missed. She is preceded in death by her parents, Ancy Erivn and Evan Lansdale Pruitt and a brother, Norwood Pruitt. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Bobby Withers of Fountain Hill; a son, Bryan Withers of Conway; three daughters, Sandra Withers Arnold and husband, Lawrence, of North Little Rock, Karen Beavers and husband, Dennis, of Conway and Glynda Withers of Carlsbad, California; 5 grandchildren, John Paul Huggins, Taylor Withers, Allison Becker, Rebecca Ledbetter and Melanie Bradshaw, 12 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services are 3 p.m., Tuesday, April 17, 2018 in the Jones-Hartshorn Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Willie Thornhill officiating. Burial will be in the Flat Creek Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. Jude's Childrens Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tenn., 38105. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Jones-Hartshorn Funeral Home of Hamburg, Arkansas. Online guest book at www.jones-hartshorn.com.
