Steven Mark Drillette

STEVEN MARK DRILLETTE, 57, of Sherwood, Arkansas, passed on April 21, 2018. He was born on February 11, 1961 in Jourdanton, Texas. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, North Little Rock Rotary, a CASA volunteer and his 3.0 Senior tennis team won the Arkansas State Title in 2017. Steve taught and coached basketball for the first eight years of his career, before being hired by the National Weather Service. He recently celebrated 25 years of service for the NWS and was currently the Meteorologist in Charge of Little Rock. He is survived by his mother, Mary Edith Drillette; wife, Martha Rutledge Drillette; daughter, Chelsea Marie Cochran (Mitchell); son, Joshua Steven Drillette; grandchildren, Chloe Jo Cochran and Conor Cochran (expected in July); siblings, Tom Drillette (Elysa), Debbie Tolar (Bob), Tim Drillette (Lori), and Scott Drillette (Amy); fifteen nieces and nephews; and other extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Drillette. Memorials may be made to Saint Francis Catholic Church, 5005 Klinke Road, Amarillo, Texas 79108 or Pulaski County friends of CASA, 3001 W. Roosevelt Road, Little Rock, Arkansas 72204. A Visitation will be held 6:00 to 7:00 P.M., followed by a Rosary and a brief funeral service on Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at Smith North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main Street.
