Wynoma "Mammaw" Day, 99 of Dumas, Arkansas went to be with the Lord, April 26, 2018. Wynoma was born November 29, 1918 in Idabel, Oklahoma, to the late, Abern McCown and Josie Mays McCown. She lived in Desha County for most of her life involved in organizations including, The County Fair, Delta Memorials Hospital Auxiliary, Jefferson Friends Club, Charter member of Chickasaw Baptist Church, Faithful member of Tillar Baptist Church where she was a long-standing Sunday School Teacher and member of her beloved First Baptist Church of Dumas, Arkansas. She loved to quilt, sew, cook, go bowling and play her Skip Bo cards. She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Clarence William Day, four sons, Clarence William "Billy" Day Jr., Lee Roy Day, Danny Clay Day, Sr., Charles Raymond Day Sr., and grandson, Carl Bradford Day and great-granddaughter, Rachel Day. Survivors include three sons, David Day (Deborah) of Dumas, Arkansas, William Day (Judy) of Tillar, Arkansas and Ricky Day (Tanya) of Dumas, Arkansas and daughter, Sue Wood (Billy) of Gulf Shores, Alabama. She was Mammaw to all but especially her 22 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren and 14 great-great-grandchildren. Visitation held Sunday, April 29, 2018 from 1 p.m. until 2:30 p.m., followed by funeral services at 2:30 p.m., both held at First Baptist Church with Rev. Dubs Byers officiating. Burial will be held at Tillar Cemetery, Tillar, Arkansas. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers, Chuck Day, David Day, Jr, Danny Day, Jr, Mark Day, Bill Day, Gregg Day, Ron Stewart, Scott Day, Walker Day and Trent Day. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, 145 Waterman, Dumas, Arkansas 71639 or Donors choice of charity.
