O Michael "Mike" Green, 73 of Fayetteville, Ark., passed away Wednesday, April 25th,2018 in Fayetteville. He was born February 12, 1945 in Sayre, Okla., to Raymond and Mattie (Griffin) Green. He was an electrical and mechanical engineer and owed his own company, Green Engineering then later Green Anderson Engineering. Prior to moving to Fayetteville he worked for Texas Instruments and helped develop automatic guidance systems as well as night vision technology. In Fayetteville he became involved in city government being a member of the City Board of Directors and served as Vice Mayor for two years. He was a Rotarian and a Paul Harris Fellow, and a past Jaycee. He served on the boards for Youth Bridge, NW AR Free Health Clinic, and the Beaver Lake Sail Club. He also served as a Member of the City of Fayetteville's board of adjustments for seven years. Two of Michael's passions were sailing and music. He was an avid sailor and sailboat racer and a talented singer and song writer. He enjoyed sailing and playing music with his friends and made many friends through sailing and music. He was preceded in death by his parents and son Don Michael Green. He is survived by his wife Dawn Green and five sons, Phil Green and wife Julie of Blackwell, Okla., Ken Green and wife Amanda of Justin, Texas, Craig Wall and wife Samantha of Fayetteville, Ark., Brice Wall of Springdale, Ark., and Aaron Wall of Hiwasse, Ark., one sister Rayvella Thayer and husband Doug of Havana, Ark., and six grandchildren, Taylor Smith, Jordan Green, Lindsey Green, Katie Green, Ty Green, and Kade Wall.
