Janet L. Conrad

JANET L. CONRAD, 87, of Little Rock, died December 6, 2018. Born December 6, 1931 in Little Rock, she was the daughter of Leland Beachamp and Frances Parker Jones. She was a 1949 graduate of Mount St. Mary Academy and a 1953 graduate of the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville where she majored in Home Economics. She had been a member of Our Lady of the Holy Souls Catholic Church since 1944. She will be remembered for being a great cook, especially wonderful Christmas cookies; she was a collector of cook books, loved her family, horses and visiting her family in Mississippi. She was preceded in death by two husbands, Frank Pillert and David Conrad; sons, Lee and Dean Pillert; and daughters, Stephanie Pillert and Jennifer Kimbrough. She is survived by her daughter, Rebecca Pillert of Little Rock; sons, Chris Pillert (Jamie) of Maumelle and Scott Pillert of Little Rock; a brother, Bud Jones (Janet) of Little Rock; a sister, Annette Kelley (Jerry) of Dallas, Texas; grandchildren, Jerina, Caitlynn, Christopher, Austin, Jacob, Aaron, Anna and Ben; and great-grandchildren, Ellis and Christopher. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at Our Lady of the Holy Souls Church, Tyler & I Streets, Little Rock, 72205 with Fr. John Marconi, Celebrant. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 700 p.m. with the Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Monday, December 10, 2018 officiated by Msgr. Lawrence Fredrick in the chapel of Griffin Leggett Healey & Roth, 5800 W. 12th St., Little Rock (501) 661-9111. Interment will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Park.
