Clyde Langston Temple

Command Sergeant Major, Clyde Langston Temple, (U.S. Army Ret.), age 88, of Warren, Ark., died Sunday February 4, 2018, at the John L. McClellan Veterans Medical Center in Little Rock, Ark. He was born December 27, 1929, in Bradley County, Ark., a son of the late Otis Edward Temple and Mittie Irene Parnell Temple. Also, preceding him in death was his wife of 64 years, Betty Jo Woodie Temple; a son, David Allen Temple; brothers, James Temple, Oril Temple, Noel Temple; sisters, Maxine West, Joyce Schneider; and granddaughter, Whitney Alise Temple. He retired from the military after 29 years and returned to his hometown continuing to serve through active participation in his church, community, state and country remaining true to his masonic vows. He was at the forefront of state environmental issues, campaigned for political office supporting his party, participated in community development and was always looking for issues to fight for that he believed would benefit his country. Survivors are one son, John Temple and spouse Vickie of Hamburg, Ark.; one daughter, Deborah Heike and spouse John of Rogers, Ark.; one sister, Shirley Battey of Santa Fe, N.M.; two grandchildren, Rachel Temple Burney and spouse Chris of Chicago, Ill., and Lara Cooper of Rogers, Ark.; three great-grandchildren, Jeremiah Brown, Abigail Hamilton, and Gus Cooper. Funeral service is 10 a.m. Wednesday, February 7, at Frazer's Chapel. Burial with military honors is Thursday, February 8, at Little Rock National Cemetery by Frazer's Funeral Home.
