Sharon Kay Morgan, 68 of Glendale (Lincoln County), passed away Monday at her home. She was born October 29, 1949 in Pine Bluff to Floy Mae Clark Smith and the late James Alvin Smith. Sharon was a member of Lone Grove Missionary Baptist Church near Star City and retired after 40 years of teaching math and keyboarding at Star City Schools. She was a graduate of Glendale High School and graduated from the University of Arkansas at Monticello with a Bachelor's degree, having a double major in math and business education. She enjoyed painting, reading, shopping and traveling. Survivors include her husband, who she married January 1, 1971, David Henry Morgan of Glendale; mother, Floy Mae Smith of Star City; son, Cameron (Shannon) Morgan of Glendale; daughter, Victoria (Jake) Wishard of Monticello; brother, Michael Smith of Bryant; sister, Dianne Haire of Glendale; and two grandchildren, Savannah Morgan and Josie Wishard. Funeral services are 2 p.m. Thursday at Griffin Funeral Chapel with Bro. Tom Lamb officiating. Visitation is 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial at Rowell Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice Angels, 3801 S. Camden Rd. #12, Pine Bluff, Ark. 71603. Arrangements by Griffin Funeral Service in Star City.
