Ellis Robert (E.R.) Henry

Ellis Robert (E.R.) Henry Jr., 90 of Dumas, Arkansas passed away on February 15, 2018 in Monticello. He was born April 26, 1927 in Dumas, Arkansas and was the son of the late, Ellis Robert Henry Sr., and Carrie Jane Williams Henry. His parents, one brother and five sisters preceded him in death. Mr. Henry was a life long member of First United Methodist Church, he served 15 years as a Board member of Riceland Foods, named Junior Chamber of Commerce Outstanding Young Farmer of the year and a charter member of Turner Neal Hunting Club. Served in the United States Merchant Marines. He loved deer hunting and spending time at the deer camp. Survivors are his wife, Irene Eidson Henry of Dumas, Arkansas, one son, Joe Henry of Little Rock, Arkansas and one daughter, Lisa (Ricky) Branson of Dumas, Arkansas, one brother, Sterling Henry of Dumas, Arkansas, two grandchildren, Ryan Branson, Karrie (Joseph) Nuckols and three grea- grandchildren, Sawyer Nuckols, Tallulah Nuckols and Ivy Nuckols. Visitation held at 1:30 p.m. with service following at 2:30 p.m., Sunday, February 18, 2018 both held at First United Methodist Church in Dumas with Dr. Tandy Hanson officiating and interment following in Walnut Lake Cemetery, Pickens, Arkansas.
